Spring 2014

Since August 1992, the Carlson School’s “1st Tuesday Speaker Series” has served as a community forum that brings top business and community leaders to campus to address the issues of the day. Today, 1st Tuesday continues to provide a compelling venue that promotes an engaged business community by facilitating knowledge exchange among thought leaders. In the past year, 1st Tuesday has continued with this tradition, providing the Twin Cities business community with thought leaders from across the country, including Indra Nooyi, chairman and CEO of PepsiCo; Sara Mathew, then chairman and CEO of Dun and Bradstreet; Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton; Bill George, former Medtronic chairman and CEO and now a professor at Harvard Business School; Julie Gilbert Newrai, CEO/founder of PreciouStatus; and Scott Wine, chairman and CEO of Polaris Industries. See below for photos of some of these leaders as well as several of our other distinguished speakers over the years.
